The CT Reading Core Lab supports clinical research from our institution and over 60 external institutions in NIH-sponsored studies. Specializing in cardiac, vascular, and body composition imaging, we use advanced CT workstations, rigorous quality control, and sophisticated analytics. Our unique services include atherosclerosis imaging with plaque quantification and perfusion analysis, as well as collaborations in renal, hepatic, vascular, pulmonary, and endothelial function assessments. Additionally, our Research Cardiac CT scanner is conveniently located adjacent to the lab.
Our comprehensive training pathways are designed for physicians, fellows, residents, and allied health professionals seeking to advance their expertise in cardiac CT. With hands-on case reviews (including 150-case programs for Level II and III certification), immersive instruction, and state-of-the-art imaging technology, participants fulfill the necessary requirements for ACC/SCCT accreditation and eligibility for the Cardiovascular CT Board Exam. Additional offerings include maintenance of competency (50-case programs), specialized training for allied health professionals, and an independent case review track, ensuring that every learner gains the skills and confidence needed for excellence in cardiac CT imaging.
